April 2014

30th April

Just a quick guest update this morning. I have a pair of Bengals in with their Black DSH friend who are absolutely great = they are obviously very fit and spend time each day keeping that way by using their climbing frame and shelves as an assoult course! Usually as I'm approaching with their food, which they also eat like athletes in top training ie. alot and fast! Super fun, a pleasure to have staying...
Next to our athletic bunch we have Chloes' rescue threesome. The kitten and the tortie and white bob cat (had tail removed after and accident recently) are now happily receiving attention whenever we are nearby and are happy as Larry.

Nice surprises! 27.04.14

How an out of the blue phone call can bring a nice surprise!  Yesterday whilst sorting through the post I received an unexpected phone call from the mother of one of our former employees, Chloe. Last year Chloe and her family had made the crazy decision (in my humble opinion!) to move back to Essex where she had lived as a youngster. However for whatever reason the family have decided to move back south and were calling to see if I had room to house some of their menagerie whilst they finalised their move.

WANTED! Tabby Cat...

Wanted ... due to the sad and sudden death of a dear pussy cat I rehomed a few years ago called Spud, I am looking for a male (preferably) tabby cat for this super rural home. He will be much loved and spoilt rotten with space to roam safely.
If you know of any such cat out there who needs a new caring home or have seen one in rescue recently, please let me know asap.

Thanks Aly

Good Friday

April 16th

Due to the arrival of several newbies on Saturday I decided to blog a little later this week - to give them all a chance to settle in before I made comment.
We have been very busy this week with an average of 50 cats here each day - but rest assured whether it's 50 or 5 they still get the same level of attention and care, we just work longer hours and employ more help...

This week we have also been lucky enough to have a vet student working with us, Amy Pergande.  She has proved herself to be a hard working and diligent ttainee and we are pleased to announce that she has agreed to join our team on a part time basis over the summer holidays.

Sunday 6th April 2014

April Showers... Not a very nice weekend it has to be said, but at least it was warm if a little too wet for my liking!

Sensibly a lot of customers off on their hols over the easter break - meaning busy times for my staff and me. We welcome Karen back from her annual winter break in the USA, tanned and smiling as ever! Kirsty had a few well deserved days off last week and Lucy is away on a placement this week so Little Ellie who is off school for the holidays is stepping into the breach.
