Cottage Garden Cats is in the Sway Tower Conservation area. The folly is 216 feet tall and is vi sible for miles around. A spiral staircase housed within a separate adjacent hexagonal tower allows visitors access to all fourteen floors and the cupola .

Sway Tower was the first building in Britain to be made of non-reinforced concrete, and is also the tallest structure in the world to be built without reinforcement. It  was built in the 1880s by Judge Andrew Peterson.
